Volotea debuts in Cuneo and launches a new route to Olbia

Starting from 5 June, the new connection will have 2 frequencies per week and will make traveling between Piedmont and the crystalline sea of Sardinia even easier.
The new flights are already on sale on the Volotea website and through traditional sales channels

Volotea, the low-cost airline that connects small and medium-sized cities and European capitals with each other, announced today the start-up of its operations at the Cuneo-Levaldigi airport. From 5 June, in fact, a new connection operated by the carrier from the Piedmontese airport to Olbia will be available. The flight will operate twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday. The new route is already available on the site www.volotea.com and at travel agencies.

“We are very proud to be able to announce the start of our collaboration with Cuneo Airport, the 22nd airport where our flights in Italy are available. Our new route will shorten the distances between the Langhe territory, with the city of Cuneo, its mountains and its food and wine excellences, and Olbia with its crystalline sea, its solitary coves and the sparkling worldliness of the Costa Smeralda. For the coming season, we aim to offer our passengers a new flight opportunity, reaffirming our commitment to supporting the tourism sector, which has been hit so hard by the pandemic. Of course, our offer includes flights with maximum safety on board and flexibility. We are confident that the launch of this new connection represents only the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration between Volotea and the Cuneo-Levaldigi airport “- commented Valeria Rebasti, Country Manager Italy & Southeastern Europe of Volotea .

“The arrival of a new company is always a source of great satisfaction, but welcoming Volotea in Cuneo has a much greater significance – he adds Anna Milanese, Director of Cuneo Airport – . It is the result of a strategy aimed at offering more and more new opportunities, to make people travel again by increasing the network of destinations reachable from our airport. The route we are inaugurating focuses on the national market, which immediately represents the main driving force behind a hoped-for, rapid recovery in air transport. It is the beginning of a collaboration that we hope will grow over time “. “We welcome the new route to Olbia with great enthusiasm – he comments Giuseppe Viriglio , President of Geac, company that manages the Levaldigi airport -. At a time of downsizing air traffic, the opening of a new flight is a sign of great optimism for the future. Thanks to Volotea who was able to believe in the potential of our airport “.

All Volotea routes are available on the website www.volotea.com and in travel agencies.
