Breakfast at the hotel and depart for full-day excursion by 4×4 and on foot to see the Fontanalba rock carvings that date back to a time between 3,000 and 5,000 years ago. After breakfast, full-day excursion on the Via del Sale, a spectacular ex-military dirt road that connects the Piedmont and French Alps to the Ligurian Sea and winds between 1800 and 2100 meters above sea level through alpine passes, hairpin bends and bold landscapes. The route includes 4×4 excursion to Don Barbera hut and short hike to Morgantini Hut. Possibility of reaching the summit of Marguareis on foot (elevation gain 500 m). Free lunch and return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.

In the afternoon visit to the village of Acceglio with its well-preserved historic mansions and short excursion to the little church of Lausetto at 1990 m altitude to the chapel is clinging to the sky and silence, surrounded by greenery and solitude. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast full-day hike on the Piergiorgio Frassati trail, one of the most beautiful in the Maira Valley with larch forests, small lakes, peaks and breathtaking scenery (elevation gain 900 m). Return to the hotel in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Arrival at Cuneo Airport and transfer to Celle Macra for a visit to the Anchovy Museum, set up inside the ancient Chapel of San Rocco, tells the story of ancient itinerant trades spread throughout the Alps, particularly the anchovy makers. From this museum we learn how the ingredient of the area’s most famous dish ‘bagna cauda’ came to the mountains. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 / Friday
Breakfast at hotel then depart for full-day excursion with tour of the Provenzale, a mountain complex that rises imposingly behind Chiappera (elevation gain 700m). Rocca Provenzale owes its name to a parish priest who first climbed it to fulfill a vow in the mid-1800s. Along the way it is not difficult to find ibexes welcoming hikers, not to mention the wonderful viewpoint towards the Stroppia Falls the highest in Italy. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast half-day hike by 4×4 from Chiappera to Grange del Collet at 2006mt then on foot (elevation gain 550mt) touching unique viewpoints and some small lakes.
Return for free lunch.
In the afternoon hike to the nature reserve of the ‘Ciciu del Villar’ mushroom-shaped erosion columns called ciciu, which in Piedmontese dialect means puppet, formed probably during the last ice age. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
